Simple and secure password management for Firefox users with KeePass.
This project is under development. When complete, I hope it will simplify the integration of the open source KeePass Password Manager with Firefox. The idea is that all your passwords can be stored securely in KeePass and easily (even automatically) used by Firefox while you browse the web. Stay tuned for more news in the future or read on for some technical information.
KeeFox is a long way from being ready for general use but I thought some people would find it useful to know it's being developed. I'm estimating that it might be ready for a public releaase in around a year (with semi-usable previews around the start of 2009). I hope that I'll be able to distribute an XPI on the Firefox add-ons site in order to help KeePass reach a new audience.
The first version will work only with KeePass 2 and Firefox 3, probably on Windows only. I'll consider back-porting to older versions of both applications and porting to more platforms once the first KP2/FF3 version is complete (unless someone wants to help with the relevant code before then).
